“My posts went from 1000 views to beyond 40k and got me quality leads.”
Nick, professor & business game designer had developed a very successful game, initially to support his own academic teachings in process and project management. Students all over the world raved frantically about it as did fellow academics he presented his results with at international seminars.
After having rolled the game out to a fellow teacher, a renowned professor and published author in the field, he began to dream of scaling up. Yet his sales outreach and LinkedIN posts didn’t get the traction he had hoped for. I had the pleasure of working with him to refine his message in order to get people to stop and listen.
The challenge
Despite having a successful product, Nick struggled to effectively communicate its value to his target audience beyond academia.
Limited reach on LinkedIn with posts capping at 1,000 views
Difficulty translating academic success into business context
Unclear messaging that didn't resonate with potential clients
“I’m an academic, not a marketer. I knew my product was good, but I couldn’t seem to get a foot between the door of my target audience.”
We implemented a comprehensive strategy to uncover and leverage the game's unique value proposition through customer insights.
Conducted in-depth analysis of student and academic feedback
Identified distinct persona impacts through strategic interviews
Created a content strategy based on his back story and USP’s
“The process helped me understand the true value of my product and how to talk about it in a clear way.”
